About Us
Guillermo Urueta, MD, FAAP graduated in Universidad
Peruana Cayetano Heredia in 1988 and completed his
pediatric residency at the State University of New York
/Kings County Hospital where he served as Pediatric Chief
Resident. Dr. Urueta and his family moved to Eagle Pass in
1999. KidsCorner Pediarics opened in 2006.
KidsCorner Pediatrcs focuses our pediatric care on
prevention and education. We realize that in today's world,
parents don't always have the support and information
readily available from their extended families. Raising
children can be frightening, frustrating, and overwhelming
at times when your extended family lives far away or a new
job has just relocated you to a new area with unfamiliar
faces. Dr Urueta believes that our patients are truly
members of our extended family and we strive to establish
long-term relationships with them and their families that
will last through each stage of their early life, from birth to
18 years of age.
Our staff has adopted a family-focused approach to ensure
a positive patient experience in a fun, friendly, and
inviting atmosphere. No white coats here!
Above all else, we believe that nobody knows a child like
their very own parent. We strongly encourage parents to
take an active role in the decision-making processes
regarding the health care choices available for their
children.
